My husbands aunt died while her only daughter was on their big vacation to
Europe. Her 3 sons decided to put grandma "on ice" until his parents
returned so it wouldn't ruin their long planned trip. They didn't tell
their mother that her mother had even died.

I have a family member who died in June 2000 but he donated his body to
science. His remains were eventually buried in December 2002, two and a
half years after his death.
