All this talk recently about multiple marriages including those between the
same couple made me wonder how people were recording the same. I have a
couple who married in 1886 and again in 1889 when they were 'of age'. I
originally put in the second marriage as normal but ended up with two
spouses (but the same person). Eventually I created a 'Re-marriage' event
and put this in the marriage details. Does anyone have a better method?

Jan,
was the 'double' marriage of your grandmother her first, second or third
marriage? I think the problem occurs when the double marriage is the third
or greater. I think the first two marriages show up OK.

My aunt married two different men in her first and second marriage. She
married a different man her third marriage. They divorced, and she married
her third husband a second time. She had two children by each of her three
different husbands. On my report, the marriages to her third husband does
not show at all--neither the first time nor the second one.

Louise
