Sherry, I followed your advice and cleared the settings file, however
Marriage Events still print twice. Marriage notes are OK.

Have you updated to the 2 Dec build? I'm not seeing that problem in that
build. If you've updated it and are still seeing the problem, click on the
Reset button to clear the settings file.

Thanks for using Legacy.

Thanks to this discussion I haven't had to spend so much time working out
how to remove doubled notes in the Ancestor Book Report.

However I can't stop the Marriage Events and Children from the marriage
printing twice. (Marriage Notes only print once)

It would good if they only printed once after the main entry for the Wife.
eg Grandparents: Grandfather with his individual notes and events statement
of who he married (for clarity - at least in earlier generations)
Grandmother with her individual notes and events statement of who he married
(for clarity - at least in earlier generations) Marriage notes and events
for this couple Children from this marriage:

Great Grandparents
Grandfather's father with his individual notes and events statement of who
he married (for clarity) Grandfather's mother with her individual notes and
events statement of who she married Marriage notes and events for this
couple Children from this marriage: Grandmother's father with his individual
notes and events statement of who he married (for clarity) Grandmother's
mother with her individual notes and events Marriage notes and events for
this couple. Children from this marriage:

At present I get
Grandparents:
Grandfather with his individual notes and events
Marriage notes and events for this couple
Children from this marriage:
Grandmother with her individual notes and events
Marriage Events for this couple

Great Grandparents
etc

I use Marriage notes and events for events in their married life/family
life - like the places they lived, holidays taken, and I think I'll shift
the main census entry (I include the detail in notes in main entry) to
Marriage events as well - now that it is so easy to shift events. :-) At
present I'm also adding Wedding Photo as an event as it's the only way
to get it to print. Also adding key Family Photo.

I'm not sure where Other Spouses fit. Either after each person's individual
notes or after the Marriage notes and events for the direct ancestor couple.

I guess the quick fix is to just stop the Marriage Events printing twice
and leave them sandwiched between the couple concerned.

Cheers,
Cathy
