You can expect more of the same. Sept 11th has opened up a whole wave of "rights trampling" in the name of protecting us. If you research the reasoning Ohio officials use it is the concern that terrorists may use stolen identities that is being used rather than the economic side of the identity theft problem. It started with a Knox county Ohio Health Department interpretation of the new law - which has been overturned by the courts and is being subsequently challenged by the State.
If anyone cares to comment you can take this direct to my email address since it is off topic for this board. It will definitely impact Legacy, though, and the whole genealogy community, if this trend continues. I believe it could knock us right back to 20 years ago when only a few people were actively involved in family history. Most will think it just too difficult and expensive to continue their research.
