Judy,

Which build of Legacy are you using (found in Internet > Check for Legacy
Update or Help > General Information)? Dave has been working on import from
Generations.

Thanks for using Legacy.

Subject: [LegacyUG] gedcom problems

I am having trouble transferring data from Generations Grand Suite (Easy
Tree) v. 8.5.1 to Legacy Family Tree Deluxe v. 5.

I have source notations (the hypertext blue numbers) throughout my general
notes field. These do not transfer via gedcom. Legacy does recognize and
list what these sources are, but does not show where each one should appear
throughout the text. (ie: text: "Mary Brown may have been born 12 Dec
1789 or 12 Sep 1789." I have a source listed after each of the dates to
indicate where this information is from.)

Generations has a "Research" notes field, which I am also having trouble
with. For some people, I have many sources listed, along with page numbers
or other information specific to each person. None of this information
transfers via gedcom. All I get in the Legacy Research notes field is the
following: @N3@

I have tried using the GedX (Gedcom Explorer) program that is supposed to
help with gedcom problems, but I get the same results. Any suggestions
would be very much appreciated!
