Interesting Valerie. Would you please explain further what your mean when you wrote ". . . please refrain from putting non numerical data into the data fields." According to Legacy's online help:
"Date Prefixes Legacy allows several date prefixes. These let you enter approximate dates that can still be sorted. You can change the standard abbreviations that are displayed when you enter these prefixes, although it is suggested that you use the defaults as they are accepted and recognized by nearly everyone." The Dates tab of the Customize dialog box (Tools > Customize) includes a Prefixes group box that lists standard date prefixes. However, you seem to be writing that these prefixes should not be use. I would also be interested in comments from Legacy Support about the use of prefixes and the problems you report several users have encountered. Best, Denise L.
