Hello, I am new to Legacy, having changed from Brothers Keeper. One feature
BK had does not seem to be available on Legacy, it may be but I may not have
pressed the right buttons.
After I have entered a spouse, who is named for eg. Alexander Paton and he
gets his own number I then discover later he is the Alex Paton who is
already on the database with his own number and is a 1st cousin to his wife.
Then with Legacy I have to do a merge.
With BK as soon as a name is entered a window pops up showing all similar
names asking if the person we are trying to enter is one of those people. If
the person shows up, one then just has to highlight the name and click
enter.
You may ask how we would know if we have the correct person, well, we may
have has the original Alex married to a Sarah Unknown born at a particular
place in a certain year as derived from a census and other information, say
with a child of an unusual name.
Is there some way I can set Legacy to do the same thing?
Thanks, Pam
