Mandy, If I'm not alone then I'm prepared to help get it going. But as Dave says we aren't sure of the purpose of such a group.
Let's have a go and may I suggest that the initial purposes are - to be a mutual support group to assist members to sort out UK issues with the software - to co-ordinate specific UK requirements for the development of the software - to promote the software in the UK - to provide a central contact for UK users of the software - to discuss areas of interest that are UK specific As others may be disinterested in the UK, my email address is [EMAIL PROTECTED], so it is probably sensible to use that rather than the Legacy User Group email list. I can set up a more specific email address if and when we get going. For the support team!!!! I hope you have caught up after your "holiday" (jealous? - me? I love cruises and I have become fanatical about genealogy, but couldn't afford the trip) Please note that the contact provided in Legacy newsletters doesn't respond to emails and that there are at least three of us interested in setting up a UK group. We are in need of support and guidance in setting up a UK group - but at least there is a need and an interest. How would such a group be funded, assisted, supported etc. What are the general aims of a local User Group Jack -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Mandy Walker Sent: 04 October 2004 21:51 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] User Groups in UK Well maybe we should start one?
