216.126.227.24 is the URL for WebMail, an internet based mail server.  That
immediately shows that it isn't from the LUG.  As far as the email addresses
are concerned there are programs that "harvest" email addresses from news
groups and use them for all sorts of purposes.  If you belong to any email
users group or subscribe to any news group you WILL eventually get
"harvested"  The user group or newsgroup can not protect you from that type
of abuse.  It is a sad fact of life that we have to live with and learn to
deal with.
