Allan has already written that you can simply write Jane (Smith).
Another approach is to write Jan [________________]
The above uses the underscore character "_", just in case somebody
was wondering how to get that.
This has couple of advantages.
1) Keeps all the unknowns together in a sort within Legacy
2) The blank lines show up in reports making it obvious that
It would be good to have the person's last or "Maiden" name.
This method can also be applied to males, as can the other method,
but one may be making assumptions about adoptions and names
not being changed, etc.
