Do you have the utility program that came with Family
Edge? The filename is EDGEUTIL.EXE.
If you have it, run it.
Select C) for Convert.
Select G) for GEDCOM.
Select F)for Family Edge to GEDCOM.
I recommend editing the default options to Yes, No,
Yes. If you don't Output Source references as notes,
I don't think you get your sources at all, but I am
not sure. You end up with sources in notes, but that
is way better than having to retype. Just getting out
of that truly ancient DOS program is worth it. (I
think almost any Windows program is better.)
Family Edge actually outputs a pretty good GEDCOM file
that should import into Legacy fine. It is so old,
that it doesn't deal with any of the newer GEDCOM
stuff that isn't implemented consistently between the
genealogy software. When I did it a couple of years
ago I imported into PAF without any problems.
If you have problems or need the utility program,
don't hesitate to contact me off-list.
