Will it work if you substitute Sweden with Sverige. You can do that with in Search and replace then lists-location in the where box.
Please remember to work on a copy of your data base. When you work on a copy you can also substitute it to nothing.

I have an occasional requirement to omit the country from locations written to GEDCOM. This is for when I submit data to the Swedish matching service DISBYT. Their matching software is totally confused by "Sweden", since it is something else in Swedish. Easiest is to just leave it off for the submission. Last time I did a bulk delete (on a copy of my file) of ", Sweden" out of locations, but missed a few, and it took a while. It occurred to me that *if* I could export short location names to GEDCOM, I could take off the country name in the short versions of Swedish locations "once and for all". Or there might be some other way to handle it - any ideas?
