Who needs an excuse? :o)
But my excuse was to be able to load Legacy onto it and cart it around the country [Australia] with my database all ready to access when I need to check info and to update "on the fly". Was going to buy a PDA at the time but a laptop won over. Use it to download email when I get the opportunity on the road.

Speaking of laptops, a friend has been going around
to cemeteries in her area and inputting information
from the gravestones. She uses her laptop and an
excell or one of those to map them out, and then puts
what is on the stone in that square - have not seen it
but she is doing well. Is that an good enough excuse
to get one????

Thanks Sherry,
I usually do try to do that. Sometimes there are
just so many messages I can never get caught up so try to tell by
the "subject line" what is happening. As we all know, and have
all done, sometimes we forget to change that. Ha Ha, don't
even look. I did that while I was typing the above line.
Oh, I am gonna miss you guys and gals while we
are gone. I really hate not having access this time to a laptop.
Guess I better put that on my wish list for next Christmas.
Hmmmmm, birthday is in February, maybe that is a better
time. Naw, this trip to search out cemeteries is what I ask for so
better be happy with what I have (for a while).
