Hmm, I have some MS Word documents that contain tables. I created the tables in Excel, exported to a Word document and save it as a DOC file, but no XLS file. This may explain Excel opening, how does Lotus open? That's even stranger at the moment.

Does anyone Just a guess - do you have any "file", which could be a picture, sound or "video" file that's attached to your opening page for Legacy? Maybe with a .xls extension?
