Others have already replied with some suggestions. Sorry I cannot
offer more on solving your immediate problem. I have a similar problem
necessitating that I go through my database one tagged person at a time.
It's a real pain of using GEDCOM.
One thing I do to minimize the pain is that I don't go "back and forth".
I keep Legacy as my main program used for data entry, except that I
do keep my "original" FTM file around and update it only with "important"
people, such as new births in the immediate family. When I go to
one of the other TWO programs I use, I always export from Legacy
to the other program. I never go back from the other programs to
Legacy. Thus I use Legacy as my "true" gen program
and just use the others as utilities to provide various functions that
are lacking in Legacy -- such as making graphical descendant charts.
