Hi Donna,
If I understand you correctly, you are using the Event list for
Christenings rather than the main events place - Birth/Baptism
(Christening)/Death/Burial.

For each event you can choose whether or not to show the Description box.
One way of getting to the place where you decide what to show is to click
on the "Edit Event Sentence Definition" button when on the Event Edit
screen.
Note the tick boxes above the sentence definitions for Description, Place,
Date, Private, Exclude from potential problems report.
You can also get to this screen through the View > Master Lists > Event
Definition
