Hi Roy,
A tip on making the Source Clipboard less confusing.

1) Only use the front tab. All tabs attach together and it is rare that you
are entering data from two or more sources at once (at least that's not the
way I work - I'd get tied up in knots and never have the right source
detail or completely enter from one source)

2) Use the Save button to save common sources (It saves what's on the
tab(s) in the Source Clipboard), then with a right click on the Source
Clipboard arrow you can get the list of saved sources and change source.
(or you can use the Load button on the Source Clipboard). I usually save
before I have added source detail but after I've ticked the "prompt for
detail" so I have a clean Master Source available - no danger of adding the
wrong source detail.
eg I have GRO indexes, several censuses, BVRI2, main Perth cemetery - all
ready to go.
Since I add the recording date to the source detail I also make that
current before saving. Each day I use that particular source I first update
the day and Save again.

3) If you choose not to tick the "prompt for detail" - keep your mind on
the job so you go in and change source detail when appropriate. Because you
can't search for particular source detail and get a list of people who use
it, it's very difficult to find errors and correct them. You can search and
replace on source detail but in that process you can only fix typos or
incorrect data for everyone - there is no way of telling whose record is
being corrected.
