Unfortunately, a solution such as this removes the "burial" event from the opening paragraph of pre-defined vital statistics and places it down at the end of the event list. This does not read well, and it also makes the report appear to be very inconsistent from individual to individual. And it is quite possible that one would want to create reports that do not include events, in which case this doesn't work at all.
The solution, of course, is to have more than just "Buried" as a choice -- perhaps including "Entombed", "Interred", "Donated", etc. that can be chosen as appropriate for the individual. There is a precedent for choice of wording in the "Baptism"/"Christened" option, but, unfortunately, this is applied at the file level rather than the individual level, making it essentially useless. There is also an optional Preposition in the definition of a Location, but I have yet to find any place where this preposition is actually used. We have many, many options in Legacy, but the trick is in finding the ones that work and the ones that don't! I made one event called Interred and when it prints, it reads: Jane, 70, was interred and placed in a wall crypt on Feb 6, 2004 at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Escambia, Florida, USA. I did this by customizing the sentence. This is Legacy Deluxe; I am not sure what you have. If that is not to your liking, tell us what you want and we will explain how to do it. Jane Ann was not buried. How can I change to wording to more accurately reflect that her inurned cremains were placed in a wall crypt. The family would like to see the word "interred" in place of "buried" used in this report. Is this possible? Must I make her death and burial events in order to do this? -- Alice Legacy User Group Etiquette guidelines can be found at: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp To find past messages, please go to our searchable archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup%40mail.millenniacorp.com/ To unsubscribe please visit: http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/LegacyLists.asp Legacy User Group Etiquette guidelines can be found at: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp To find past messages, please go to our searchable archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup%40mail.millenniacorp.com/ To unsubscribe please visit: http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/LegacyLists.asp Legacy User Group Etiquette guidelines can be found at: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp To find past messages, please go to our searchable archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup%40mail.millenniacorp.com/ To unsubscribe please visit: http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/LegacyLists.asp
