Have you tried to go to the event list (open any person with the event you 
are talking about and click the down arrow on the right to get to the master 
event list)?  There is an option to delete here, which I would assume would 
delete every event with that event name.

Is there a way to globally mark all Events named Fact 1 as Private?
If this can be done then an import of a file with the Import Private 
Events
unchecked would not import that event.

I have an event that is named Fact 1 that came from a FTW file that has no
usable information, only a date of Private.
There are over 2000 persons with thei and I don't want to spend precious
time deleting each event from each indidvidual one by one.  That is a 
waste
of time.
