Whilst I still think that the "list" itself could deal with the issue, I
think you need to accept that everyone is different and has differing needs
and wants. They do not have to conform to one person's view of how to use a
computer. But, as for being "bombarded" with pop-ups, I think I get only
one, maybe 2, a day and so it isn't a problem that even ges to one on the
Richter scale with this list.

If you have "request read receipt" set as the default, then it means you
have to remember when creating each email whether you need to turn it off on
that particular email - and it's easy to forget. It isn't appropriate,
though, to ask people to change their permanent settings as to how to handle
emails.

Subject: [LegacyUG] People Who Use "Return Receipt"

Please turn it OFF when posting!! I am tired of reading my listmail and
getting bombarded with pop ups demanding to know if I want to send a read
receipt to someone. There is NO need to use such a feature on a mailing
list. Thank you!
