Gary Crull asks: "Isn't there a better way?," regarding the thread overload......
THERE IS: If the writer commenting on a thread would scroll down and remove extraneous verbiage as I have done in the example below. I have removed the ALL the prior "subject line" (it's repeated in the subject line above) ALL the "To: <[email protected]>" ALL the "reply to" lines from the previous commenters ALL the [EMAIL PROTECTED] (List Server) writes" and ALL the so called "standard footer " nonsense..... as the server will automatically add the standard format to each posting. Delete what is not germane to your answer and indicate that deletion by using <SNIP> . And most importantly, avoid hitting "reply to" and sending mail with all those irritating >>>! I think one should cut and paste the thread into a new email so that the >> don't breed like wire hangers in the closet! If you are worried that readers will not be able to figure out "who said what," use the "enter" key to skip lines and perhaps separate the different contributions with ~~~~~ or ---- as I have done below. It gets tedious and tiresome trying to sort through all the extraneous chaff to find the kernel of grain of interest. Isn't there a better way???
