HI, IMHO there is no way to change it, but never felt the need to do so. By going in and "editting" the date through a Gedcom, the program will probably do it, then change the date to "today" anyway. I am pretty sure you can't turn it off. It is used for the editting process, so it serves other purposes. I basically ignore it, and just do the 'real' work. It is most useful if you want to re-verify info you typed in on a certain date. (Until it gets superceded again. Rich in LA CA

When I imported my gedcom into Legacy, each of my individuals was given a modified date equal to the date/time of import. I was wondering if there is a way within the Legacy program to change this date to something in the past? I have not tested yet - could I solve this by exporting, editing the gedcom for 1 CHAN, 2 DATE ..., and reimporting? Is there a way to turn the modification tracking off?
