I can reproduce this problem with the same build Jennifer is using.

It seems to be tied to the direct line of the focus person.

: Robert,
: Yes, that box is checked. There are more without the dates in the index than
: are. I can't see any pattern to it.
:
: Cathy,
: I haven't suppressed living on.
:
: I have just done a check/repair, and nothing changed.

: Ok, let's try another angle. I *assume* we are talking about Descendant
: Book. Under the Options tab, there are three "biggish" buttons about 2/3rds
: the way down. Under Index Options, at the Name Index tab, there is a check
: box with the caption "Birth & Death Years on Names." Do you have that
: checked?

: Yes, many had dates - including my own brother.

: Hmm, did any of the names that did not print dates actually have dates? I
: couldn't reproduce that. Not *all* of my names have dates.

: Subject: [LegacyUG] Descendant Book Report Index
:
: I am using a rather old version of Legacy 5 Deluxe - Build date 26 Oct 2004.
:
: I just previewed a Descendant Book report where I had ticked the box in
: Index Options "Birth and Death Years on Names". Only some names in the
: report index had these dates included. Has this been fixed on later builds?
