Hi Sharon,

The ONLY marriage status whether provided by Legacy or added by yourself, that picks up the alternate wording entered in the Marriage Screen is "unmarried".
If you want to add "significant relationship" or anything else you must add it in the wording section on the Marriage Screen, not the status.
eg Person 1 had a significant relationship with Person 2.

One day this may be fixed but it's been like this for a long time. Married, Divorced and Unmarried are the only Statuses which work in reports.

In the report options for the Descendant Book Report and some others, you can change some of the wording - see the wording tab. Codes for people's names can be added here.
eg instead of "Noted events in [HisHer] life were" I use "Some details of [FirstName]'s life:"
I add a name as, depending on the amount of general notes, this heading for events can be some distance away from the basic information about the person.

Cheers,
Cathy

Sorry for posting this a second time, forgot a subject the first time.

I don't know if this has been covered before or not and apologize if it has.
If I create a new marriage status called significant relationship how do I
get the wording on reports when it is listing the children to say, "their
child was" instead of "children from this marriage was."

If you choose the Legacy predefined event of unmarried for the marriage
status of a couple and they had children it will read in a descendant
report, "their child was" or "their children were", however if you create a
new marriage status, such as significant relationship and the couple had a
child or children it will read, "child or children from this marriage were"

Is this there a way to change the wording on the reports when it gets ready
to list the children if their marriage status was a user defined or created
status?

Thanks,
Sharon
