Glenn:

It is my understanding that the IGI, for England, consists of (1) information extracted by LDS from original parish records and Bishop's transcripts of parish records and (2) data submitted by LDS members in the sealing process.

While there can be transcription and entry errors in the first set of entries, those are official Anglican church records (when speaking of England). I want to see that information. I may or may not want to see the LDS member submissions. Not being an LDS member, I am not interested in the Ordinance information.

While created to allow LDS members to fulfill their religious obligations, I understand that the LDS church makes the IGI available to all researchers. If that is incorrect, please advise those of us who have been using the IGI and the Genealogical Library to that effect. We can then cancel our trips to Salt Lake City and our hotel rooms. ;^)

Regards,

Steven C. Perkins

Sorry Steven,

I don't work for Millennium. This should be directed to them.

Also, the IGI is for members of the LDS church and mostly contains ordinance
information. I think you might be barking up the wrong tree with your
wants.
