You have had some very good responses but I do it still differently.  If I
have missunderstood and you want a reort like John suggested the following
won't pertain.  You mentioned the Descendant narrative report but not the
Descendant report, book format, Modified register or register reports.
These reports will print everyone connected to the original ancestor or head
of family.  Depending on what you select to include they are very inclusive
and your picutres should also print. I use these all the time but without
pictures.  You may have to run several reports if you have several lines,
ex: one for you mother's side on for you father's.  For miscilany people not
attached to your family lines at this time then Alice's multiple line or
Rodier family group sheet should do nicely.

Without a modified register report I would have been lost years ago. This is
my favorite and has kept track of all people descendant from the probable
immigrant.  Mutliple marraiges and marriage notes are included if you go to
Options on the Descendant book screen. Depending on the number of people you
have in one line this hardcopy form can be great for research trips for
quick reference and note taking.
