I guess there are several opinions on this of which mine is: I don't consider the 1/2 kids as 1/2 to the marriage but 1/2 brother or sister to the rest of the siblings or at least belonging to one of the parents in some sort of relationship weather it's by birth or adoption. It also, for me at least, makes it a lot easier to visualize the family without having to navigate to the other spouse (or family in the case of an adoption). I didn't know about this feature until I'd been using Legacy for a couple months and have had it turned on ever since.
