Personally I source the name field quit often. For Example; If a person is listed in an obit of an in-law with out further information and I don't care to write a not anywhere else I just source the obit to the name. This would be true for journals, letters, or a will (if named as a spouse of). Or, if I find a middle name in a document I will source the names field. If a person is listed as a parent on their childs death record or a witness for baptism I stick those in the name field too.
I know others will set up an event for some of these but I prefere not to have all of them in the event field when I create my register or modified register reports. Karen V. Sipe >From: "C.G.
