I've noticed this in lots of places in Legacy. Does anyone have any ideas?

You won't find a standard family tree view in Legacy, and so no way to print
out
such a thing. It has been requested by myself and others going back more
than a year.
There are add-ons you can buy that make nice trees. Family Tree Maker
(another
gen program) makes nice trees, as do many other gen. programs. I use FTM.
Others on this list use the add-ons.

But Legacy does have other features such as the Geo-database, and you can
search the IGI database at the LDS website without having to switch to your
browser window. I'm sure your daughter will be really excited about those
features! :-\
