Who cares what you call the device for putting the information in the
record?

Event = Fact
Description = none or Physical or Attribute or Whatever for sorting things
on screen
Date = none or [[xxxx]] for sorting
Place = none
Notes = the fact you wish to record
Sentence structure = [Notes][source] in all fields

Change report and web wording to: Facts and events of [his/her] life:

Results:

. Jack had red hair (with accompanying source and picture)

I would be very interested to hear of any improvement to this that adding a
whole new structure to the program would accomplish.

All Events are Facts. But not all Facts are Events. This is true in
Legacy.
An event that happened is a fact.
But a fact that John Doe had "Red Hair" is not an Event.

FTM did not have events. It used Facts and some facts had the same names as
events used in Legacy. Its reports only printed the main Fact (when I last
used that program)

I have no problem entering both facts and events as Legacy Events. I change
the report headings so as not to refer to them as events.

I faintly recall this topic being discussed before. After all was said, no
minds were changed.
