Hi List,
I would like to list pets with a number of my individuals, mainly dogs and
cats. Currently I have them listed as events, but this does not quite work
as it does not lend to listing names, breed, births & deaths etc very well.
Has anyone else done this and figured out a better way? I had thought about
listing them as individuals in the normal way then linking as children, but
that does not seem quite correct, and they then list as children on reports
which I don't want. Any suggestions?
Unless I have misunderstood the question, create a fresh new database
and instead of entering people as the husband/wife etc, enter the dog,
his/her parents, children etc and create dog pedigree that way, using
the notes and other sections to hold information about the owners.
Events would be their collective show winnings, and dare I say it, the
medical notes their vet visits etc.
You could do the same for the cats.
That's if I understand the original question, if not, don't worry.
