Many, many months ago I raised a similar problem with the relationship
calculator. For example, Steve and Chris are father/son. They are also
cousins
as Steve's maternal grandparents were 1C. The cousin relationship appears
until the lines merge with Steve and Chris. At this point, the cousin
relationship is not found. I realize that purists might cringe, but being
able to
identify these inter-family relationships can be quite critical with a large
file that has numerous inter-family marriages.

It is for this reason that I keep FTM. I have yet to find an instance where
FTM does not find **all** the inter-family relationships. If FTM can
calculate all possible inter-family relationships (such as father/son and
father/son-are-cousins), why does Legacy not calculate the relationships?

This discussion raises a more important issue. With respect to the
relationship calculator and Legacy created reports, there have been many
instances
where problems have been documented for quite some while. I would urge Legacy
to fully address and solve these known problems before we see anymore (in my
opinion) useless bells and whistles such as the Geo database or a program
link to the IGI, which is infamous for erroneous data. The best data and
documentation is useless unless we can generate accurate reports.
