I agree that an exhaustively thorough testing program such as the one you
describe is probably beyond the resources of Millennia. Heck it's
apparently even beyond the resources of the Micro$oft Monopoly,
judging from the sloppyness of Redmond's Releases!
But that's really not the point.
Elizabeth and others have pointed out one particular bug multiple times
to people both via this list and at other times directly and personally.
The bug remains un-fixed. Others have reported similar problems.
On the other hand sometimes the Legacy crew fix bugs remarkably
quickly.
Nevertheless, it is exasperating when a bug has been reported and
even demonstrated to senior staff at the company for a long time and
remains unfixed while new features such as the IGI search capability
just "sneak out". It does undermine many folks' (including me [mine?
my?]) confidence in Millennia's release processes.
The complainers could all just abandon Legacy and go to ???? but
we/they like Legacy enough to complain and stay. IMO we comlainers
are saying "We like Legacy, but we'd like it even more if only...."
