Thank you! Thank you! This worked--once I realized another window was opening on the toolbar just like you said.

Hi Mary
Once you've clicked 'view matches' and you are sure of the person on the right, you can merge with the left - check the help menus for tips on merging. Or to be safe, note the new details and add them in manually.
To check where the information comes from (you'll want to make a judgement
on the validity of the new information before merging) click the tiny button
with the @ symbol on it, in the centre of the lower toolbar. This opens the
relevant page on the IGI. Toggle through to check - either click the IGI on
the computer screen's lower tool bar or use Alt+Tab.
Good luck Margaret -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Mary

I must be in the wrong place. No matter how hard I looked I didn't see "submitters" or "details."
This is what I did. I clicked on Search>Search the IGI website. Since I
had already done the searches, I clicked on a name and then View Matches. I
selected one of the matches and have a screen with my data on the left and
the IGI data on the right. Where do I go from here?
