Hi Glenny
In my 32+ years of genealogy, one of the most important things to do was
to document what you got and where, so that others could find what you did
and form their own opinion. If you plan to share your data with others it
could be very important. If you do not plan to share with others then the
choice is really up to you. I like to note all the header stuff like date
census was taken, enumeration district, etc, etc. Besides if you go back to
try to track all these down you might find family in the surrounding names
as I often have.
