I agree with Sherry's request to clean up the replies we make.
Indeed I've been trying to do her suggestions for a long time.
This posting is an example.  I've just quoted the part  of GC's posting
that I intend to reply to.

Which is that I disagree with GC.  I think it is important to add that
there are others on the list who agree with what a poster has previously
posted.  It shows that the expressed opininon  is not just the opinion of
one person.  It is often very good for the poster who makes that posting
to know that he/she is not alone.  Also, if we are writing about new
features, it is good for Legacy's staff to know that a certain number of
posters were in favor of such and such a feature or approach and others
preferred something else.
