I have used "Internet" as a source type if I have found some information on 
the net about a place, or an occupation, or a ship for example - or if I am 
recording the fact that I have found information about the family on someone 
else's web site.

When or why would you use the "Internet" source type?
Much of what I find is on the internet:  digital scanned copies of 
marriage certs, census returns, books, etc.  The fact that they are from 
the internet and where is noted in the source.  However, if I generate a 
source type report they obviously all turn up "internet."  I cannot 
determine the real source of the material from the report.  Guess the same 
is true for the SSDI and other databases - they are found on the internet 
but the real source is elsewhere.
