I don't know how to tag just those people with pictures. However, if
you simply want to copy all the pictures linked to those people you've
exported, "Backup Multimedia Files" on the File menu will copy all
those pictures to a zip file. (thanks to Cathy for pointing out this
neat trick as it wasn't obvious to me).You can then unzip them to a
location of your choice, and then point to the new location by
selecting Options > Customise > Locations and click on Test All
Multimedia Paths... , click Proceed (with the default is ok) and then
when prompted point to the new location of your Pictures.

Not usre if this does what you want, but it's a useful trick to know.
