I know that! One will not get very far trying to import a Legacy file directly into FTM!
Perhaps I should have said "my Legacy GEDCOM export file doesn't import well into FTM to generate
them"

All Legacy Pedigree, Ancestor, Lineage, Descendent charts are left to right. I too like the top to bottom (or bottom to top) like I used to build in FTM; but not in Legacy. My favourite in FTM was the Book Ancestor Chart with continuation markers; terrific for a book. If my memory serves correctly, there was also a Book Descendent chart. I haven't seen this anywhere else and my Legacy file doesn't import well into FTM to generate them. Progress ...
