Martin,

Try temporarily unlinking the person you marked as private.  If he/she was
the only connection, then this line will drop out of the ancestor report.
When done with the report you can relink the individual.

I have some data imported from other people that I would like to leave out
when exporting to reports.  I tried setting one generation to "Private" and
thought that when I unchecked "Include Private Individuals" then it might
leave them out and also earlier generations.  I just tried this on an
Ancestor Report chart and it did not seem to make any difference whether I
unchecked or checked this option.
