I have some instances like this. For clients' or friends' genealogies I use new family files just to make sure that I never accidentally share someone's sensitive family information inadvertently. Also if they ever want a copy of their files, it makes it extremely easy to provide them one. The only exception is a recent convert in my ward (church) who we know to be a 4th cousin to my wife.
