Robin

I always use "Circa"

i.e if a birth is registered in the Jan-Mar qtr 1876 I enter it as "cir Mar
1876" (just type "c 3/1876"). Then Legacy recognises it as a proper date and
I know that with a month and year then it is from a BMD index entry (I put
the entry details in Notes)

I am sorry if this has been asked too many times before...
If I know something occurred, like a birth date, in a particular quarter,
such as in Jan - Mar 1876, what is the preferred method of entering this ? I
have tried Jan-Mar 1876, Jan/Mar 1876 and now am leaning towards Q1 1876
(because this will appear on the Pedigree View, the others will not).

What is the recommended entry format ?

Thankyou, Robin Dimes
