Hi Marianne,
As Linda has said, you can use the multi media backup to collect the pictures.
However will they unpack to the same folder? You may need to force this by your choices when unzipping. If there are a lot of photos, this zipped file will be very big.
They will need to be relinked anyway. You can use Options > Customise - Locations tab - Test all multimedia locations and let Legacy search or browse yourself. Once one photo per folder is found in a new location, Legacy usually finds the rest.
It's certainly quicker to link photos from all over the place on your computer but it's better to keep copies for Legacy in a particular folder or folders within that folder. Photos attached to Legacy, for nearly all purposes, don't need to be bigger than "screen size" or 800 pixels wide - see the Report options.
I keep archive copies of photos as well as a resized copy for Legacy. They have the same name so I can easily find the original. I save archive copies as tifs and Legacy resized copies as jpgs.
Cheers, Cathy

Hello everyone.
I want to put a Legacy file on a CD to send to a cousin. I want to be able to include all of the pictures that I have in my own database, but if I have the pictures in files scattered in various files on my computer, how can I be sure that I have all of the pictures included in the file I put on the CD? Is there a way to run a search of all the paths, and copy the pictures into the picture folder that I plan to include on the CD?
I hope I made this question clear, if not please let me know and I will try to rephrase it.
Thanks.
Marianne
