Hi,
It seems to me you have both examples right.
My only comment is re your understanding of Master Sources.
A source doesn't become a Master Source because it is used in a number of different places or for a number of different people.
A source is a Master Source rather than Source Detail as it's a discrete database, book or sheet of paper - even if accessed somewhere like Ancestry that has a lot of databases. There are grey areas. eg are BDM certificates from the same Register Office Master Sources or Source Detail? I've been treating them as Master Sources but can see some value in doing it differently so that Show List would produce lists of the certificates you have.

For example - a census.
A particular census is a Master Source - eg UK 1901 Census
The particular household is source detail. I put the formal census reference on the Source Detail tab and a transcript of the household in Source Detail Text.
I use this source for all members of the household and for various fields for each individual. So long as you don't change the source detail (all tabs) in any way, the source only prints once.

So whether your cemetery is a master source really depends on whether it's the only cemetery that is transcribed in that particular database or whether the person who transcribed it did a number of cemeteries that are combined in the one database - with the name of the cemetery as one of the data fields.

is quite useful for documenting online databases.

I've also found these helpful in thinking about sources:

My thoughts on a complex subject.
