Yes, I used TMG's sample download briefly. Just long enough to figure
out it wasn't for me. I used Generations for years before the support dried
up. I moved directly from Generations to Legacy. Legacy is a lot like
Generations. If you liked Generations, you will probably like Legacy.
Big thing missing from Legacy is Generation's charting capabilities. I keep
Generations around to gedcom out of Legacy into generations to make
charts, but then I've gotta watch the color palettes (sp?). Either program
is much easier to use than TMG IMO.
Legacy does have Charting add-on programs. Also Legacy offers a lot
of options and makes very nice reports, with more options than FTM or
even Generations, I think. It has a lot of nice features for data entry,
such
as the source clipboard.
