You cannot run two instances of Legacy. However, you can have more than one database open, at least in the Deluxe version. There may be an icon in your toolbar that looks likes two family views, if not add it. Clicking that icon opens up a new view and then a dialog that asks whether you want a different database in the new view. Alternatively, select "Split Screen View" from the View menu.

I also use this routinely with the same database in both views either with a different family in each view or Family View in one, Pedigree, Index or Descendent view in the other.

I've had as many as six views open. On subsequent views, you may not be prompted for new database or not, but you can do a file open on any of the views.

I am trying to have two sessions of Legacy running at the same time, each with a different database. When I try to open the second session, nothing happens. If I open a second database in the current session, the first database is closed, and when I go to reopen it, the database opens with the previously set opening name. Is there any way to have two sessions running simultaneously? Any help would be appreciated.
