Hi Rob,  

I do use AKA for many names.  However, when I have adoption information, I
use an event also so I can attach notes and images.

Why do you not use the "AKA" alternate name feature for this? You can still
add additional notes as required. This way you can at least search for, and
see the alternate names without having to open up a notes field.
