Well, some lateral thinking has taken me to the Descendant Book Report (rather than Descendant Narrative)., which lists the children including their SURNAME, So my family shows as "John LEWIS married Elspeth BEATSON ... Children from this marriage were: F i. Elizabeth McFarlane MORWOOD ... (Foster) " M ii. John LEWIS etc. " Just what I want - though I don't really like the way it splits by generations <sigh> Thanks to everyone for their input, it's been an interesting thread.
