Okay, LUG
With help from Ron Ferguson, and a bunch of re-arranging by myself, our work
on testing/fixing Legacy Pedigree webpages is about done.
Perhaps of interest to the LUG will be some suggested changes in output
format. I have revamped the links so it should be easy to view these in
just a couple of minutes. Again, at
http://zelltree.com/pedtest/
Other than some touchup over the next several days, we've done all we can to
help the programmers find the problems, and hopefully they will be able to
make a quick interim fix. Our checking/fixing alone proved to be a long and
boring task -- glad I'm not a programmer!
Thanks for bearing with us thru perhaps too many messages on this thread.

Hi Ron,
At last we now seem to have got somewhere and we can but hope that Dave
can do a fix.
Just to add to your work I ran three trials on my pages using TiDy last
night with the following results:
1) A full web page with uncorrected Legacy code with my footers and
headers included. As expected from the way such a page presents in a
browser the TiDy'd version did not function properly and exhibited the
break ups you have reported.
2) As above but with the 2 corrections which I identified in the Legacy
code having been made but no other corrections. This presented as it
should with no problems.
3)TiDy'd the Legacy code but with my header and footer and cut and pasted
this between my header and footer. Again presented correctly with no
problems.
As method (2) is certainly the fastest to use for correction I think I
will be using this until such a time as the main errors in Legacy are
sorted.

I would like to use caps here but... thank you, Sherry!!
Also to report that I've nearly finished my work on all this, and all is
being uploaded fresh as I write this. There are now two versions of a
somewhat modified display format which "look okay", but I know there are
some internal html problems written in by Frontpage (!), so I need to run
those thru an html checker too.. I'll make a final post when that's
finished, hopefully later today.
Lots of changes and improvements were made in the process, and I've
included new links which should make it easy to view the progress step by
step.

thank you again, so very much!
