I add each certificate as a Master Source. I used not to. I changed so
that I can use the Source Detail to explicitly identify the bit of
info from that certificate that is relevant to a given data item. For
example, as well as date and place of death, things like last known
address or parents' names may also be included. These all have
different levels of credibility, or "Surety" in Legacy parlance, and I
found it essential to identify this explicitly. When I had the
repository as the Master Source and individual certificates as Source
Detail I found it very confusing when I went back later. If you use
this latter technique, additional detail notes are essential.
